FAQs

I'm not sure what help I need, how can you help me?

I can help by working out what help you and your organisation need.

It isn’t always obvious why something has gone wrong in our organisations until we see the negative impact.

If you aren’t sure what has gone wrong, it makes sense that you don’t know exactly what help you need to fix it.

That’s okay. I always start with where you are and do a full audit of your organisation so that I can find the ailment behind the symptom.

After the audit, I present a diagnostic report that identifies a way forward and how I can support you in that process.

What types of clients have you worked with in the past?

London Stock Exchange, FinTechs, Insurance Companies, Fashion House, Public relations Agency, Pharmaceuticals, Software houses.

How do you charge for your work?

At the beginning of the process, I will run an audit of your business or organisation, the scope, scale and price of which will be agreed in advance.

Once the audit is complete I will present a diagnostic report and a roadmap of how I can help you move forward.

We will then agree on a way forward together with a budget, timeframe and deliverables.

If you choose to go no further, you simply pay for your audit.

Will you be the person we work with?

I will be your first point of contact in the discovery and audit phase of the process.

As we enter the implementation phase, I have a group of experienced and trusted professionals to help deliver your chosen solutions. This ensures that you get the best person working with you at each stage of the project.

What's your history?

At the start of my career, I served in the Royal Engineers and was an instructor at Sandhurst Military Academy. In the years since leaving the military, I’ve worked in a multinational software company and as a consultant for 20 years.

You can read more about me on my About Neil page.

Where are you based?

I’m based in the south of England, and can work with you remotely and in-person.

How can I start the process?

I’m glad you’re ready to find out more.

You can email me at neil@neilpoynter.com or book a call into my diary here.

I still have some questions, how can I find out more?

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, please email me at neil@neilpoynter.com  or if you prefer to talk in person, please book a call into my diary here.

We know what the problem is in our organisation, can you help?

Yes. I start where you are.

If you want to focus on one area of specific work that’s what we’ll do.

How can leadership coaching help my business or organisation?

Leadership coaching can help you and your organisation in several ways.

As CEO or senior leader in your organisation, it can help increase your confidence, skills and effectiveness when working with your peers and team.

Choosing leadership coaching for individuals in your team or organisation can help them progress in their careers as well as having a direct impact on their day to day effectiveness. It can have a huge impact on the performance of their team.

How can training help my business or organisation?

Keeping your team up to date with current developments in leadership thinking, skills and strategies will ensure that your team is working to their full potential. It also provides the opportunity for them to reflect on their own capabilities and how they work as a team.

How can consultancy help my business or organisation?

Sometimes we are too close to our business or too busy with the demands of our role to be able to take time out and look with fresh eyes at what is and isn’t working.

Sometimes we don’t have the skills or experience to ensure a new project is delivered or problem solved.
Consultancy can help your business by bringing in a fresh perspective with new experience and ideas. It can also bring in additional skills and competencies that you don’t have time to recruit and develop at a senior level.

What types of clients and businesses do you work with?

There are two types of clients that I work with;

CEOs and business owners with teams of 10 people or more up to about 250. If this is you, you may well have grown your business from scratch and evolved into leadership from the “doing” side of the business. I can help you develop your own skills and build capacity in your organisation so that you can focus on leading and supporting your team rather than solving day to day problems.

Senior directors and leaders in large national organisations. While you may not be at the top making decisions, you may be working with a large team that has a cross-organisational impact. In larger organisations, I help build the capacity to deliver a new project or resolve a business challenge that you see on the horizon.
